Giacomo Alessi’s Medieval Tiles
Alessi Ceramiche medieval tiles are entirely made and decorated by hand, featuring traditional medieval Sicilian designs.
They are a splendid tribute to medieval Sicily at the time of Frederick II of Swabia, known as stupor mundi (“the wonder of the world”) due to his exceptional qualities: he was a scholar, statesman, leader and legislator, who is now remembered above all for his independent, eclectic and forward-thinking mentality.
Giacomo Alessi pays him homage through the creative inspiration and superior craftsmanship that distinguishes each of his creations.
